This spacious but cosy, detached stone built cottage, is set in a tranquil location, on a no through road in Talley, Carmarthenshire. Nestling in the hillside on our working smallholding, it is the ideal place for a quiet getaway or active outdoor holiday. The cottage has enclosed gardens and access to a summer house with panoramic views over the Cothi Valley and Brechfa Forest.
Spend your days relaxing with the view and strolling round Talley village, it’s ancient Abbey, the lakes and local nature reserve. Visit local gardens, including the award winning National Botanical Garden of Wales . Alternatively trek off across the local hills, visiting the numerous castles or mountain bike the splendid bike trails in the Brechfa Forest. (Ian gave the Red route 8 out of 10 and he takes some impressing!) . The western edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park is about 5 miles away.
Further afield, but still within an hours’ drive, visit Cardigan Bay to the north west, Llanelli and Penbrey Sands to the south or west into the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
Local towns of Llandeilo, Llandovery and Lampeter offer arts and crafts, local produce, independent shops and sports centres. The neighbouring village Cwmdu has a thriving community shop and pub.
The Cottage
Comprises Large bedroom, with king-size bed. Shower room. A large open plan living area and kitchen , with mezzine floor above the kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, microwave and electric oven. A washing machine is available in adjoining building.
A Drying room and cycle store is available on request.
Ideal for a couple but can accommodate up to 4 adults.
A well behaved dog welcome.
